BayWa seeks permit for 200-MW battery project in Queensland

German renewables company BayWa r.e. AG has applied for an environmental permit for a 200-MW/800-MWh battery energy storage system project in Queensland. The company also has plans for a wind farm and battery project in Victoria. They have commissioned over 270 MW of solar and wind parks in Australia.
