Beam, a result of the merger between Rovco and Vaarst, has deployed the world’s first autonomous underwater vehicle driven by artificial intelligence. The technology has been successfully used to inspect jacket structures on Seagreen offshore wind farm in Scotland. By leveraging advanced AI, this technology promises to revolutionize the field of marine technology and underwater robotics, reducing operational costs and timelines while improving inspection data quality and enabling 3D reconstruction of assets. Beam plans to roll out this new technology by 2026.
