Belgium, Germany mull hybrid interconnector

Belgium and Germany signed a declaration of intent to investigate a hybrid interconnection between their offshore wind farms to harness renewable energy potential in the North Sea. The initiative aims to create an integrated offshore wind network. Both countries have ambitious targets for offshore wind energy. Collaborating would stimulate innovation, minimize costs, and strengthen industrial value chains. The project involves investigating options, involving other countries, and submitting a final report during the next North Sea Summit.
