Belgium’s Montea investing €30 million in distributed BESS across logistics network

Real estate investor Montea will invest €30 million in installing 56MWh of distributed battery energy storage systems at logistics sites in Belgium and the Netherlands. The BESS units will store energy for various purposes including lighting, heating, cooling logistics platforms, and powering electric vehicles. The investment aims to reduce peak demand needs of EV charging hubs and energy costs.
