Dutch-Spanish JV targets 500 MW of energy storage in Spain

Dutch energy transition invest & build platform Return and Spanish renewables firm Benbros Energy formed a joint venture to develop 500 MW of energy storage projects in Spain. The JV plans to roll out ten projects totalling 210 MW starting construction in 2025. Return has 70 MW of storage systems in operation and 16 GW in development in Northern Europe. Benbros previously formed a solar-focused JV with Renewable Power Capital to develop 3.4 GW of projects in Spain.
