Berlin backs 2.7GW of onshore wind in tender

Germany's latest onshore wind tender has been oversubscribed attracting nearly 3GW. The Federal Network Agency held the tender on 1 August, receiving 230 successful bids totaling 2723MW, exceeding the 2.5GW target. This was the first oversubscribed tender since February 2022. Older permits were used in many bids compared to previous rounds. Projects not awarded now can participate in the next round in November.
