A systematic review conducted by the research group Cátedra Steppe Forward, reveals the scarcity of studies on the impact of photovoltaic plants on biodiversity. The review noted that medium-sized PV plants cause greater loss of semi-natural habitats than large PV plants. The study emphasizes the need for cumulative and synergistic environmental impact assessments to understand the impacts on ecosystems and associated organisms.
