Borosil Renewables unit ramps up German solar glass capacity

Borosil Renewables increased the solar glass production capacity of its German unit, GMB Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH, to 350 tpd from 300 tpd through modification and cold repair of the solar glass furnace. The life expectancy of the furnace has increased, resulting in energy savings. In India, Borosil Renewables expanded its solar panel glass manufacturing capacity to 1,000 tons per day with a trial production at its third solar glass furnace with a capacity of 550 tons per day, allowing for solar glass supply for 6 GW of solar module production per year.
