Brookfield to acquire Neoen for €6.1 billion

Brookfield intends to acquire the French renewables and energy storage developer Neoen. Neoen's board welcomed the proposed transaction by Brookfield to become the majority shareholder. The deal values Neoen at €6.1 billion with a mandatory cash tender offer to follow the acquisition. Both companies have significant portfolios of renewables and energy storage assets with Neoen aiming to reach 10GW capacity by 2025.
