BTA: The share of photovoltaic plants in the Bulgarian electricity grid increased by 115% in 2024

The share of photovoltaic plants in the Bulgarian electricity grid increased significantly in 2024. The data indicates a growth in renewable energy sources' share in both the electricity transmission and distribution networks. Electricity production decreased, while consumption slightly decreased. The energy balance and the share of basic power plants in Bulgaria's energy balance also changed during the analyzed period.
