Bulgaria, EC agree to cooperate on green hydrogen

Bulgaria's innovation ministry and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership of the European Commission have agreed to cooperate in the field of green hydrogen. The memorandum aims to establish a partnership mechanism between the European programmes supporting new technologies, including hydrogen. This cooperation will boost the participation of Bulgarian companies and scientific organisations in research and demonstration project funding competitions. Bulgaria will launch its first hydrogen valley - the Zagora Sustainable Hydrogen Region near Stara Zagora and the Maritsa basin, with the support of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the Scientific Research, Innovation and Digitisation for Smart Transformation programme.
