Canadian Solar launches 5GW TOPCon module assembly plant in Texas

Canadian Solar inaugurated its first US production facility in Mesquite, Texas with a 5GW TOPCon module assembly plant. The project was unveiled with a $250 million investment from the Chinese manufacturer. The facility has already started shipments of US-made 700Wp TOPCon modules earlier this year. In addition, Canadian Solar is building a 5GW solar cell production facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Recently, the company secured a supply agreement for its US-made bifacial TOPBiHiKu7 modules with solar energy firm Sol Systems.
