Carbon Expert: Carbon certificate price increases to almost 73 euro, in line with the TTF index

The price of Carbon Emissions Certificate (EUA) has increased to almost 73 euro, closely tracking the natural gas prices on the TTF market. The surplus of emission allowances in the EU Emission Trading System indicates the impact of policy interventions and increased renewable energy adoption. The MIX scenario by the European Commission forecasts a decrease in surplus by 2030, with a rise in electricity production from renewable sources leading to higher EUA prices.
