CEA identifies major safety concerns in 97% of audited rooftop PV systems

CEA conducted safety audits on over 600 rooftop PV systems across various countries and found that 97% of installations have major safety concerns. The top 10 common safety problems identified include grounding issues, damaged modules, cross-mated connectors, poor terminations, module hotspots, cables on sharp edges, broken connectors, water ingress, and enclosure hotspots. These hazards are primarily caused by poor installation practices.
