Cellphone-linked portable device for real-time solar module characterization

A research group from Colombia has developed a new portable electronic device for on-site measurements of photovoltaic panels. The device collects data on solar radiation, ambient temperature, electric current, and voltage signals. It enables predictive models and system analysis. The device includes ESP32 microcontroller, ACS712 current sensor, temperature sensor, and irradiance sensor.
