Chile announces preliminary bidding rules for 5,400 GWh energy auction

The Chilean National Energy Commission (CNE) has announced a National and International Public Tender for the Supply of Energy and Electric Power 2023/01, focusing on electricity supplies for regulated customers. The tender includes innovations in market risks treatment, incentives for storage and non-variable renewable energies. Chilean Energy Minister Diego Pardow and CNE Executive Secretary Marco Antonio Mancilla provided insights on risk mitigation measures and promotion of clean, efficient renewable generation projects.
