Chile's Codelco revamps PPA to achieve decarbonisation before 2030

Chilean copper miner Codelco has revised its power purchase agreement with CTA, an Engie Chile subsidiary, transitioning from coal to renewable energy. This move aligns with Codelco's goal to achieve 100% decarbonisation before 2030. Engie Chile commits to end coal-based power by 2025, supporting Codelco with 1.8 TWh/year from renewable sources starting 2026.
