Pacific Partnerships, part of CIMIC, has gained approval to connect the 300-MW Hopeland solar park, located in Western Downs, Queensland, to the grid. The approval from the Australian Energy Market Operator follows an evaluation of the generator performance standards. The solar farm will connect to a nearby substation and could power around 100,000 homes with potential for an associated battery storage system. This development was enabled by the acquisition of rights from Renewable Energy Partners.
