Colombia’s PV capacity hits 1.2 GW

UPME reported that Colombia's cumulative installed PV capacity has reached 1,193 MW, with recent additions including a 240 MW solar installation by Enel Colombia. La Loma and Fundación plants add 150 MW and 90 MW respectively to the nation's solar capacity. Wind projects totaling 637.08 MW are nearing commercial operation. Additionally, Colombia aims to achieve 6 GW of renewable energy by 2026, having 457 MW and 952 MW of PV capacity at the end of 2022 and 2023 respectively.
