Construction starts at 29-MWp floating solar park on German lake

German energy company LEAG along with partner EP New Energies have started building the largest floating solar park in Germany on the Cottbuser Ostsee lake in Brandenburg. The 29-MWp plant will consist of over 51,000 solar modules mounted on floating bodies anchored by dolphins, generating 29,000 MWh of electricity annually. Pfalzsolar is responsible for constructing the park, expected to go online in 2024/2025.
