Swedish developer Landinfra Energy has begun the consultation process for the Falkenberg-Halmstad offshore wind project off the coast of Halland. The project aims to consist of 55-80 turbines generating 5TWh annually. Landinfra is engaging in dialogue with authorities and stakeholders to define studies and assessments for the environmental impact assessment and permitting process. The company's CEO, Marcus Landelin, focuses on projects aligning with long-term goals targeting 2030, emphasizing increased renewable electricity production in Sweden. The proposed wind farm in Falkenberg-Halmstad promises a compensation of Skr50m-80m annually to the municipalities if built as planned, with an estimated capacity of 6GW and an investment of Skr25bn.
