Coutinho appointed UK shadow Energy Secretary

Claire Coutinho is overseeing energy and net zero in the Conservative Party's shadow cabinet appointed by ex-PM Rishi Sunak. Ed Miliband, the UK's new Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, replaced Coutinho after Labour's victory in the UK's general election. Miliband previously held the shadow energy brief and served as Energy Secretary under Gordon Brown. Coutinho took over as Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero on 31 August 2023.
