Crash test for lightweight 4-seater solar cars

A research team at Italy’s University of Bologna developed a solar-powered 4-seater car, Emilia 5, for the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia. The vehicle uses solar PV panels from Solbian, with a carbon fiber reinforced plastic chassis. Emilia 5 is the fifth model by Onda Solare team, featuring elements like recycled carbon fiber materials and modifications for better aerodynamics.
