Crown Estate launches new UK seabed vision

The UK Crown Estate has published blueprints to support nature recovery, grow marine sectors, and lease 20-30GW offshore wind by 2030. The Marine Delivery Routemap aims for sustainable seabed use, biodiversity, economic activities, and offshore wind development. It seeks feedback for wind farm projects and proposes de-risking opportunities. The partnership with Great British Energy plans significant offshore wind capacity increase by 2030, with focus on Celtic Sea and regions off north-east and south-west England. The Crown Estate intends to invest in enabling infrastructure for renewable energy growth.
