CRP Subsea has secured a contract to supply cable protection systems for RWE’s 660MW Nordseecluster A offshore wind project in the German North Sea. The deal with DeepOcean involves the supply of 96 NjordGuard CPS to protect inter array wires. Nordseecluster A is scheduled to begin construction at sea next year with all turbines expected to be grid-connected by early 2027. Nordseecluster B will add 900MW with commercial operation anticipated in early 2029. The NjordGuard systems will be manufactured at CRP Subsea’s factory in north-west England.
