A team of scientists from CSIRO and Tapestry have developed an advanced grid-forming inverter prototype that integrates embedded intelligence technology from EVs and autonomous drones. The inverter aims to enhance grid stability and efficiency as renewable energy sources like solar and wind become more prevalent. It features signal sensing and filtering hardware, grid-forming and microgrid software, and has shown promising results in grid coordination and cost-effectiveness.
