Cypress Creek Renewables brings online 208MW solar-plus-storage plant in Texas

The Zier Solar + Storage project in Texas includes a 40MW/80MWh battery energy storage system partnered with a 208MW solar facility. Cypress Creek Renewables, an independent power producer, completed the project with financing from Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale. They have a pipeline of 6GW projects, including a 100MWh standalone BESS near Houston. Solar energy in Texas supports peak capacity, while energy storage enhances reliability during peak demand. Texas leads in solar PV capacity in the US.
