Deutsche Windtechnik Sweden, a subsidiary of German wind turbine technology specialist Deutsche Windtechnik AG, has been awarded a contract from Swedish property developer Wallenstam AB (STO:WALL-B) to service 23 wind turbines across Sweden. The agreement covers Vestas V90 turbines located in nine different wind farms in southern Sweden. The contract includes servicing until the turbines reach 30 years of age, surpassing the average operational lifetime of 20 years. This move increases the use of existing infrastructure, reduces the need for new constructions, and enhances the overall energy output of the turbines. With over 2,300 employees, Deutsche Windtechnik offers maintenance services for wind turbines in Europe, the USA, and Taiwan, managing more than 7,300 wind turbines globally.
