Developer secures approval for Yorkshire solar-storage site

Ridge Clean Energy (RCE) has received planning approval to construct a solar farm and battery in East Riding in Yorkshire, UK. Three Oaks Renewable Energy Park (REP) will have a capacity of 39MW and will be located between Thornholme and Haisthorpe. The associated Three Oaks Community Benefit Fund is projected to provide £20,000 per year for the 40-year lifespan of the project. The fund will be managed by East Riding of Yorkshire council in partnership with Burton Agnes and Carnaby Parish Councils to support local social, educational, and environmental projects. Marjorie Glasgow, co-founder and CEO of Ridge Clean Energy, expressed delight at the approval by East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the project. The company focuses on setting a new standard for clean energy projects in the UK through the effective integration of renewable energy, community involvement, and environmental protection. The site will bring positive benefits to nature with a 69% net gain in local biodiversity through various ecological enhancements.
