Developers propose data centre with 500MW ‘non-flammable’ battery in Switzerland

Real estate developer ERNE Gruppe and architecture firm FlexBase plan to start construction on a data centre project in Switzerland comprising a 500MW energy storage unit using non-flammable technology. The project includes the 'world’s largest and most modern battery storage facility' alongside a data centre for artificial intelligence. The building will be in Laufenburg, Switzerland, and will repurpose an existing facility while constructing a new one of national importance.
