Dogger Bank B starts foundation installation

Installation has started of the monopile foundations and transition pieces for Dogger Bank B, the 1.2-GW second phase of the 3.6-GW Dogger Bank wind farm off the British coast in the North Sea. The team from Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, is carrying out the work. They recently completed installation of the foundations at Dogger Bank A. The project involves Sif and Smulders for the monopile foundations and transition pieces, which will support GE Vernova’s 13-MW Haliade-X turbines. The total installation across Dogger Bank A, B, and C is expected to be completed by 2026.
