Dragados wins LanWin3 converter contract

50Hertz has awarded a Dragados Offshore, Siemens Energy consortium with a contract for the LanWin3 North Sea grid connection project. The project includes offshore and onshore converters, with the offshore platform being built in Cadiz, Spain and the onshore converter near Schwerin, Mecklenburg. LanWin3 will connect an offshore wind farm in the German North Sea to the Heide area of North Friesland.
