Drax starts Scottish hydro seismic surveys

Exploratory ground works for the UK's first pumped storage scheme in 40 years are ongoing at Ben Cruachan near Oban in Scotland. Drax plans a new 600MW underground plant next to the existing Cruachan facility. Seismic surveys provide geological data for the project.
