Dutch government allocates €412 million to support ‘circular’ PV panel manufacturing

The Dutch cabinet announced a €2.6 billion allocation through the National Growth Fund to support manufacturing of innovative technologies in sustainability, energy, high tech, digitization, and healthcare. A significant part of this will go to manufacturing solar modules based on a circular economy approach. Researchers, raw material suppliers, construction companies, and the automotive sector are collaborating for the development of the next generation of solar panels.
