Dutch manufacturer unveils gel lead-acid battery for residential use

A new company ESS NewsSS4U, a subsidiary of TSS4U, has launched a gel lead-acid battery for residential use in collaboration with VDL Groep. The battery system, called Qurmit, offers 17.6 kWh of energy storage and features an integrated charging system. It operates between -40 C to 55 C, is fireproof, recyclable, and sourced from Europe. The lifespan is 20-25 years. ESS4U aims to offer a 740 kWh system for the commercial and industrial segment, and currently, installers are only available in the Netherlands.
