The Dutch province of Limburg has announced an investment in the solar panel manufacturer Solarge. Solarge produces lightweight solar panels designed for locations where conventional panels would be too heavy. In April, the company raised $3 million in venture capital to increase production capacity at its manufacturing facility in Weert, Limburg. The Limburgs Energie Fond (LEF) co-shareholder of Solarge, aims to make innovative solar panels accessible to a wider audience in the long term. The Netherlands added 4.82 GW of solar last year, reaching cumulative installed capacity over 24 GW.
