EBRD, Goldbeck Solar form Ukrainian JV

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has established a joint venture with Goldbeck Solar Investment to construct and operate new solar PV projects in Ukraine. The German solar energy company, Goldbeck Solar Investment, plans to develop up to 500MWp of new renewable energy production facilities in Ukraine. The EBRD is financing the first private energy deal led by a foreign investor in Ukraine since February 2022, aiming to support Ukraine's domestic electricity generation and address the damage caused by recent Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy sector.
