EBRD, Goldbeck Solar to develop 500MW solar PV in Ukraine

Construction of the first solar PV project in Ukraine is expected to start in the fall of 2024. The joint venture between EBRD and Goldbeck Solar Investment aims to develop up to 500MW of solar PV projects in Ukraine over the next three to five years. The joint venture is set to support Ukraine's energy resilience and independence. Goldbeck Solar Group's CEO, Joachim Goldbeck, expressed pride in supporting Ukraine's grid expansion with renewable energy technologies despite the current political risks. The venture will expand Goldbeck Solar's current portfolio and promote private sector investment in Ukraine's renewable energy sector.
