French utility EDF inaugurated the 480-MW CEME1 solar farm in Chile’s Atacama Desert, the largest in Chile. EDF is adding a 1,200 MWh BESS to increase efficiency. Beatrice Buffon, EDF Group Senior Executive Vice-President, highlighted the project's importance.
