Egyptian utility launches tender for 8.2 MW solar-plus-storage project

The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) is initiating a tender for constructing an 8.2 MW solar plant with a 2 MW/4MWh battery storage system at Siwa Oasis. The project aims to enhance the existing microgrid and support local rural electrification efforts. Interested local and foreign companies are invited to express their interest by June 3, 2024, with a proposal request planned for the following summer.
