EIB, Natixis to provide EUR-97m loan for new wind farm in Sicily

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) are jointly providing a loan of EUR 97 million to Libeccio Srl for a new 44.8-MW wind farm in Sicily. The project, named Vento di Vino 2, will be an extension to an existing wind farm and is expected to generate electricity for over 56,000 homes annually. The financing also involves refinancing the debt of Libeccio, owned by Fabbrica Energie Rinnovabili Alternative Srl and Byom Srl.
