Eku Energy commissions 40-MW battery site in England

Eku Energy has powered up its 40-MW/40-MWh Maldon battery energy storage system in Essex, England, to deliver ancillary and balancing services to support the local and national grid. The facility will enhance the resilience of the UK electricity network and facilitate the connection of more renewable power generation. The Maldon BESS was installed by Trina Storage in partnership with ESM Power Ltd, and will be operated under a long-term Capacity Market contract, with trading by EDF.
