Eku Energy secures development approval for 500MWh BESS in the Australian Capital Territory

The 500MWh BESS in Australian Capital Territory approved for construction by Eku Energy, part of ACT government's Big Canberra Battery initiative. Eku Energy responsible for developing, constructing, and operating the Williamsdale BESS with a revenue share agreement. The project will participate in the National Electricity Market. Eku Energy partnered with the ACT government for the project, which received funding from the state's budget. Eku Energy, a storage development platform under Macquarie Asset Management, aims to contribute to decarbonization.
