EnBW, Total win leases in €3bn German offshore tender

EnBW and TotalEnergies have won development rights in the latest German offshore wind tender. EnBW secures the 1GW N-12.3 site in the German North Sea, paying a total of €1.1bn. TotalEnergies will establish a 3.5GW offshore wind energy hub with the N-11.2 site, contributing to Germany's decarbonisation targets. BNetzA ran the process with successful bidders entitled to carry out planning approval procedures for wind turbines. EnBW plans to expand renewable energy capacity and sell electricity to industrial customers through PPAs, aiming to be climate-neutral by 2035.
