Eneco’s LichtBlick and developer Energisto expect 400MWh of Germany BESS approvals this year

Energisto and Eneco's subsidiary LichtBlick have formed a joint venture GigaCharge in Germany to develop battery energy storage system projects. This move into BESS is a new area for both companies, aligned with Germany's ambitious renewable deployment targets. Dr. Enno Wolf of LichtBlick highlighted the economic value of battery storage systems. Eneco is leveraging its energy trading platform for monetization. LichtBlick has multiple clean energy projects in development, including a compressed air energy storage project with Corre Energy.
