Eneco’s LichtBlick and developer Energisto expect 400MWh of Germany BESS approvals this year

Energisto and Eneco's renewables-only subsidiary, LichtBlick, have formed a joint venture GigaCharge for battery energy storage system projects in Germany. Germany aims for 80% renewable energy by 2030, requiring large-scale energy storage. Eneco plans to monetize BESS projects using their energy trading platform. LichtBlick is involved in clean energy projects and is co-developing a compressed air energy storage project with Corre Energy.
