Eneco signs PPA for Dutch offshore wind farm

Eneco and LyondellBasell have signed a power purchase agreement covering 25MW of capacity from the Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm off the Netherlands. Eneco will deliver approximately 103 gigawatt-hours of offshore wind power to LyondellBasell annually, starting in 2027. This agreement brings LyondellBasell’s total secured renewable electricity capacity to 100% of its renewable electricity procurement target. LyondellBasell chief executive, Peter Vanacker, emphasizes the importance of climate action and reaching the company's 2030 renewable electricity goal. Power Purchase Agreements are highlighted as a critical lever in efforts to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions.
