Eneco to build 50 MW/200 MWh project in Belgium

Eneco is planning a 50 MW/200 MWh battery in Belgium to balance the electricity grid with renewable energy sources. The system will be operational by 2024 and will consist of 53 Tesla Megapacks. Meanwhile, Engie seeks permits for three battery plants in France with higher capacity. Eneco aims to strengthen its renewable energy activities and advocate for energy storage deployment in the Netherlands to achieve a climate-neutral electricity supply by 2035.
