Enel, Energy Vault build 18 MW/36 MWh of US gravity storage

Enel Green Power and Energy Vault are planning to build a large-scale gravity storage facility in the United States, with the system operating in the ERCOT market. Energy Vault has previously completed a similar facility in China and demonstrated round-trip efficiency in Switzerland. The storage device by Energy Vault uses composite blocks for energy storage, with potential applications in long-term storage.
