Enel Green Power Australia operates solar projects with a total capacity of 310MW. The company is starting construction of a 98MW solar-plus-storage project in New South Wales. This project will include a 20MW/40MWh battery. The company acquired the project in late 2022 and plans to start operations in the first half of 2026. The project will be connected to the National Electricity Market, sharing a single connection point. Financing will be provided by equity from shareholders and debt facilities from Westpac and Bank of China. CEO Werther Esposito hinted at further investment decisions, including wind, solar, storage, and hybrid projects. Additionally, EGPA confirmed plans to purchase a 1GW solar and wind project from minerals company QEM in northwest Queensland.
